My school has a unique program for their sophomore level foresters. Fall semester you take a block of all forestry classes, and halfway through the semester you go on a three week camp. The location varies each year, for mine we went to Lubrecht Forest in Montana. Lubrecht Forest is approximately 29,000 acres owned by the University of Montana. It’s about a half hour drive from Missoula. Driving straight from campus to camp in Montana ends up being about a 24 hour drive with stops, so we broke it into two drives on the way up by camping at Custer State Park in South Dakota for a few days. I’ll be posting select photos from the trip, including photos taken at Custer and photos from Glacier National Park which we visited for a day during the trip.
All photos were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S4 so the quality may not be the best.
